A fantastic selection of boats to hire on the Canal, and walkable distance from the town centre.

Devon hire boats, have 3 types of boats...
1. Motorboats
2. Rowing boats
3. Canadian canoes

Firstly let's talk about the motorboats, these are
Orkney 452 with outboard motors, these boats are driven by steering wheel and remote control.
Ideal for families up to 6 and can be hired from between 1 to 6 hours.
(pack a picnic, go for 4 to 6 hrs and have a ball, you and your family will have a fantastic day out)

The second type of boat are the Rowing Boats,
The company has 10 x Swans & 4 x Walker- Bays. Great fun for all the family whether you can row or not. The Walker Bay boats are for the more professional rower.

Lastly, The Canadian Canoes, These are professional, Ram-X canoes. Making them ideal for exploration of the Grand Western Canal.

Devon Boat Hire (Tiverton Canal Co) are on hand if you've never hired a boat before, they also lend safety lifejackets and buoyancy aids free of charge ( included in the higher) staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
(children of 2 and under not allowed in all boats, as too small for life jackets)
