Great in the summer, but it's very busy

Had many a good evening in the White Ball, and is a convenient and comfortable place to meet friends due to the large car park at the rear and reasonably-priced beer and snacks. It has taken them some time to relight the fireplace and the beer garden to the rear is great in the summer - although very, very busy. I disagree with the comment made by Wetherspoons in September last year that it has a "great selection of ales all of the time." It has a great selection of lagers and cider all the time. They have regular guest ales which change too quickly and they need one more decent ale, besides Abbott, which is available throughout the year.

Nice staff. They seem to look after the locals well. Also they are quite on the ball with keeping idiots out and they are respectful that people want to have a drink in peace.

I go here on a regular basis, drinks are the cheapest..

I go here on a regular basis, drinks are the cheapest in town! Although the food seems to be creeping up in price, it is still good value for money.

The White Ball is a great place for drinking, socializing..

The White Ball is a great place for drinking, socializing and food. It is always quite crowded giving it a real community atmosphere. There is a wide selection of drinks and sometimes there are festivals celebrating wines, ciders and ales. The prices are quite good too, making it a good place to start on a night out. The food is good and the pub offers a wide selection all at a good price, and often has themed nights. There is also a beer garden situated right next to the River Exe which provides a relaxing environment in any weather due to the massive umbrella and patio heater.

The pub is a great place to go and sit outside on the patio - mainly because of it's patio heater. Inside it's a nice open area to sit and chill with a pint of Koppaberg, and the prices are reasonable too. Events such as the annual wine, cider, or lager fest are always interesting, and the service is pretty good - but obviously more relaxed when less people are there.

An Excellent pub for all the family. Great selection of Ales on all the time, great value food and drink. Food served 9am - 10pm. Huge beer garden just alongside the river.
