Dear Dave, thank you for your review. Sorry that I was answering the phone when you arrived, but rather than making you wait for the person on the phone to finish, I served you whilst still on the phone. As far as pricing is concerned we are a tied house which therefore increase our costs dramatically in comparison to a free house (such as the Bank), thought we have not increased our pricing since the VAT increase. We also offer a quiz, and live music every week for which we never charge admission. Regards Philip Grattan

Report
The Twyford Inn was the first pub I visited when I came to Tiverton eleven years ago. It has undergone a slight refurb but there are two things that definitely haven’t changed since then. The prices are still much the same; slightly high if you ask me, and the welcome; non-existent. When it is dead during afternoons these days, I’d have thought the landlord would have done a little more to encourage my return. He didn’t even bother to hang up the phone and say hello while he poured the two pints we had asked for. But, believe me that is an improvement on the former landlord who seemed greatly inconvenienced by anybody who approached the bar. Fine, if it’s after 9pm.

ReportYou need a bank loan to go to the Twyford And it's so true. I try and avoid this pub if possible, and if I do get dragged there I only buy one drink. I bought two vodka and red bulls and it cost me £9.80!! Good when there is a live band, but drinks need to be a bit cheaper.
ReportDear Lisa
Next time you order, ask for a house double. This works out at £5 for a double vodka redbull.
