PICK and mix, toys and stationary will be returning to Tiverton thanks to Woolies spin-off Alworths.

Former Woolworths store on Fore Street.
The national chain which currently has nearly twenty stores was launched in 2009 on the centenary of Woolies own opening.
The firm is currently looking for new staff for its Tiverton store which is set to fill the gap in Fore Street left by its predecessor which closed at the beginning of 2009.
Alworths is the brainchild of ex Head of Store and Concession Development at Woolworths, Andy Latham, who worked at Woolworths for over 25 years. Latham along with a team of 15 ex Woolies head office staff has created the new general retail chain in just 66 days, securing personal private investment and opening its first store in Didcot, four weeks after receiving the keys to the former Woolworths site.
Alworths will stock branded toys, sweets, homeware, stationery, seasonal and garden products. Those who have missed Woolworths' selection of pic ‘n’ mix along with party accessories can look forward to seeing them return to Tiverton.

ReportGood news indeed - this will breathe life into the western end of Fore Street where the small independent traders have suffered and sometimes disappeared.
