Petrol Prices Need to be Addressed!

Tiverton has the highest petrol prices for miles, so it was no surprised to me this morning when I was buying my weekly fill of unleaded what I overheard.

Filling up the car in Tiverton this morning.
A woman was asked if she wanted a receipt with her fuel and quipped to the cashier : "I better way so I can look at it when I vote and remember not to vote for these theiving buggers in government we currently have."
Couldn't agree more! We are being ripped off as a nation in general, but even more so here in Tiverton when it comes to running a car!

I was referring to the Tax added to the fuel price, not to the actual cost of the fuel, hope that is clearer now.

ReportWho is in charge of the Price of Petrol ? No Government of this country ... So the tax is taken off; you think, by the Tory's.!!? Is your vote to be used for such a petty reason; the cost of fuel dictated by the USA and Middle Eastern Countries . We can but hope the Democratic Liberals can push the Tory's out.......If only for a change. Petrol will still be dictated elsewhere.

ReportA local tory MP can not affect the policies of the Government directly, but a Tory Government can directly change taxation issues on Fuel.
So casting your vote is stupity is it? What would you rather have then, Communism over Democracy. It is our democracy that gives you the right to call voters "stupid" so which would you prefer Trottter?

ReportOh yeah, because Petrol's sure to get cheaper under the Tories! Incidentally, we already have a Tory MP here in Tiverton, so how will voting Tory in Tiverton change anything? Such statements simply underline how stupid people are - that they think voting will change anything.
