Why People Don't Bother to Vote

Why don't People Bother to Vote, in the Calverleigh Area not an Election address or sign of a Candidate was seen if we had not received a polling card we would not have known an election was taking place. I feel that since Local Councillors got paid, the interest waned. I have not seen a District Councillor in my village since the last Elections. may be its time we dispensed with this tier of government to save a bit more money.

I think most people don't bother to vote because they don't see any point. I am highly political and always go to vote, but most of the time I have to spoil my ballot because there is no-one I want to vote for. The Council at all levels around here do so little it is dire, and most of what they do they screw up, people just don't believe that it can be any different.
