Illegal Spoon Buying

My friend and I decided we were going to spend the day together in Peoples Park, eating Ben&Jerry's icecream. So, we went into Tesco to buy the necessary equipment: Two tubs of icecream and some spoons.

When we got to the self-service tills and scanned in our spoons (pack of four plain metal spoons) we were told by that infernal machine that we had to wait for assistance. When the lady came over to see why her little alarm had gone off, she looked in our shopping bag and said "what is it? The spoons?" It seems that even she was a little confused. "Got any ID?" My friend said "I've got my National Insurance Card. Will that do?" The lady shook her head and walked off to another lady behind us.

They whispered for a bit, and then she came back, punched a code onto the screen and told us to "just go."

We walked off chuckling about how much harm we could cause to the community with a four-pack of DEADLY spoons...

WHY WEREN'T WE ALOUD!?

WHHYY?!

They hurt if you 'tap' someone with them. Or you could 'accidentally' ram them down someone's throat... After you have tripped over uncollected refuse or undelivered post.
