GOOGLE's controversial Street View has finally gone national, and has given us the chance in Tiverton to see our own houses.

However, we here on Tiverton People would love you to try and find something quirky, somebody you recognise or anything that would be of interest to the people of the town!

If you find something, let us know where it is. Take a screengrab and post it into our galleries.

Also, what do you think of streetview in Tiverton? An invasion of privacy, ot a useful resource?

I kinda liked the fact that we were a "hick" town that frowned upon outsiders. lol. But now we are open to the world, darn. Best be on our best behaviour!

seamens(is this anything to do with camels being ships of the desert,(full of arab semen]?i I have found in my travells that we live in a world where everything is dependant on everything else.If we wanted to live in the world of 1955 we could have all the little shops suppling us with local products, but we would'nt want to know about the health and safety issues of the supplier or the priceing of everything. If we want to live in the 21st century we must accept that the out of season produce etc that we buy is produced by people that perhaps dont have our standard of living and exist purely to supply TESCO etc,I wish we lived in the world of 1956 but we dont.Soon we will find produce from ougadougu because the capatalistt power mongers find they can make more profit.Forget goverments, business runs the world in the 21st century.

Hello  bonbeachbob. Yes I guess it is good for being able to see the 'old place'. Sad to say the shops are closing and the town centre has little of any chose; not as of old.     Tesco has seen to that.
Council sold out to that organisation .As most other town have as well.

I was in Melbourne, once.  Did you wake me up during my afternoon nap ???? or was that your Dad.

Left Tivvy in 1959.Just spent a couple of hours looking round the place with all its changes etc.Marvellous!Could evenget a glimpse of the house I lived in until 1951.We've had street view for over a year in Melbourne and it doesn't raise a mention now,in fact they are coming around shortly to do an update.Just dont "MOON" the camera when it goes by.
