England's World Cup in Political Terms

I think I'll sum up my feelings on the election in terms of football.....

If England win the World Cup (as if) and then Italy decide to keep the cup despite not winning, then this means they'll end up feeling like David Cameron.

If England get knocked out in the early stages of the tournament but then come back and decide who wins it, then they'll end up feeling like Nick Clegg.

If England get knocked out really early yet they come on during the final and start playing regardless, then they'll be taking the piddle like Gordon Brown!!

And if Scotland who didn't even qualify still think they can come in and help every team that plays against England, which they clearly do, then we know Alex Salmond is knocking around somewhere.
