Dog Sitter

Why is it so difficult to find someone to look after my dog for a day - just one day a week is all that is needed.  Maybe that's the problem, its only one day a week and for people who do this on a business basis it isn't worth their while!  He doesn't even need walking but obviously that would bbe a bonus, he just needs the company.  He doesn't like cats and I know that that has been a problem with a couple of people who were going to look after him, but surely not everyone has a cat do they?  Has anyone any suggestions please.
