Does Anyone Remember the All Night Bakery?

I was walking through town just a few moments ago and noticed that the Crusty Cottage Bakery has sold its last bun a while ago.

The Crusty Cottage Bakery
Does anyone else remember how it also used to be known as - The all night bakery?
My mate told me when I was about 16 about the bakery and how at about 2am you could knock on the window of the shop on a Friday or something, and the bakers, making all their stuff for the next day used to come out. Then you'd give them a quid, and they'd give you a bag full of different pastry and cakes! You got a hell of a lot for your £1 and I remember feeling as though it was death by pastry - but it would have been an amazing death.
I only did this once, and I was wondering if anyone else remembers the bakery as being a place to go get cheap cakes at the after hours?
