Congratulations

Congratulations to Devon and Cornwall Area who represented Nafas in the grand marquee at the Chelsea Flower Show. The title ‘When you have a dream’

The team of eight and four supporters included Ann Trigg a member and president of Tiverton flower arrangement achieved silver Gilt. Other member Norma Harris, Glennis Beard, Margaret Fairhurst, Anne Hopkins, Susan Kehoe, Maggi Murrary, Alison Penno, Judith Taylor.

The inspiration came from a group of trees growing near the border of Devon and Cornwall on the A30, for the people of Cornwall it’s the sign of ‘nearly home’ and for people travelling to Cornwall it’s a sign of ‘nearly there’ these trees are special as they are on high ground, silhouetted against the skyline with rays of the setting sun shining between the tall bare slender trunks.

The floral arrangement will be made up of long poles and a carpet of soft pastel colours interspersed with flashes of brighter hues.
