Tiverton Signpost prepare for Jack and the Beanstalk

SIGNPOST’S pantomime is now fast approaching and everyone involved is working hard on the final preparations.

As well as rehearsals and back stage work, the club have been busy promoting the show. This year’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at The New Hall, Barrington Street, Tiverton, running from the January 25 to February 5 2011.
It will be one of the most loved shows of all time. Jack and Jill’s fantastic adventure has been entrancing children of all ages for more than 150 years! Cheer on the hapless Jack, his sweetheart Jill.
With just over two hours of fun packed entertainment of laughs, gags and bright costumes and lovely dames, why not come along and enjoy a fun filled feast of entertainment with the Tiverton Signpost Club.

The first main character in this year’s panto will be Jack (Principal Boy) who will be played by Molly McDowell. Co-starring with Jack will is the lovely Jill (Principal Girl) played by Maria Barrow.
The next two characters will be Ben (second principal boy) played by Kiki Maryan and Sally (second principal girl) played by Louise Dunn.
Following these four characters will be some familiar faces of the Tiverton Signpost Club including Robin Trump as the Dolly Dimple (The Dame), and Oran Trump playing Simple Simon.
New to the club this year is Rhett Tucker and Sam Lane playing Tommy Tucker and Georgie Porgie.
Sailin the evil sorceress played by the even more wicked Claire Darbyshire.
Elice the enchantment fairy is played by Sarah Boundy, and another newcomer, but familiar to those who regularly visit the New Hall or YouTube is Lewis Clarke playing the Mayor.
Baroness Bossy Britches is played by Sonia Smith, Little Bow Beep played by Kate Butler, Little Miss Muffett played by Samiyah Edmunds and Mary Mary played by Karen Bullen-Burke.
Malika the fortune teller is played by Josie Mcdowell. Daisy the Cow will be played by Mike Parker and the back stage crew playing the back.
Henny Penny played by Madeline Ell and not forgetting the Magic Harp Harpy Warpy played by Kelsey Perry.
The chorus leaders this year will be led by Ellie Harcombe & Emma Smith.
Last but not least the Chorus Speakers: Ellie Harcombe, Emma Smith, Mollie Budden, Kelsie Perry, Alice Trick, Harriet Saunders.
