Canal Country Park's Family Fun Day

THE Grand Western Canal Country Park’s annual ‘Family Fun Day’ will be held next week at the Canal Basin. (Tuesday 10 August).

From

10.30am to 4pm Canal Rangers will be providing a range of fun

activities including pond dipping using the Hi-Tech Wild-Trek Roadshow.

With video equipment linked to microscopes, the plant and animal life of

the canal can be examined close up and recorded on the DVD and

digitised images. The biologist will help capture and identify the

wildlife.

There will also be a treasure hunt, face painting, and arts and crafts.

Families

are welcome throughout the day, but children must be accompanied by an

adult. This is a free event however donations are welcome.
