Clear Skies Provide a Magical Meteor Shower Over Tiverton

TIVERTON enjoyed a clear evening – how many people were out
-
Looking into the sky from my own back garden - a random planet which I don't know what it is.
-
Stars in the sky on a clear night in Tiverton.
-
Looking across towards Blundell's Road.
there enjoying the meteor shower?
I spent around forty minutes stargazing and wasn’t disappointed.
I think I saw around four or five. OK, not too many, but I was only out in my garden, unlike Ami Wyllie who tells me she saw 41 of them - but she had the advantage of extra darkness by going up to Seven Crosses where it's darker, and you can see ships from there too!
I’ve never seen a meteor shower before, but
it was an eye opener into how quick they are. Certainly a blink and you’ll miss
it type of thing.
I don’t doubt somebody will claim they’ve seen aliens in the
morning. Or that they’ve landed in People’s Park – it seems to be the way these
days. People see something in the sky and before you know it, they think
Roswell is happening in Westexe.....
So was anyone else out in the meteor shower? Did you see any
of the little critters shooting across the sky?

Saw about 20 all together in Barton Road. Mostly small ones, but a few amazing large shooters.
A wonderful sight

ReportApparently it's Venus because it's looking in a westerly direction and it's low in the sky.
