The Wooden Workshop is a family run business, located on the edge of Exmoor in a small picturesque countryside town called Bampton, Devon.
Here at the Wooden Workshop we provide a range of carpentry services which include the following:

We can make almost anything out of wood and welcome a challenge, so if you have an idea in mind we can help turn your vision into reality!
We make all of our products to order and will give you an estimation on the delivery date.

Taj Mahal Bird Table
I wanted something special and unique to give as a wedding present to my friends who have a lovely big garden. Their big Hindu wedding inspired me, rather late in the day, to see if such thing existed as a Taj Mahal bird table.The internet said not, but the search led me to Wooden workshop, whose website advertised custom bird tables built to order.I emailed for a quote, and received a prompt, full reply quoting a very reasonable price, considering the materials and workmanship involved. Encouraged, I proceeded with the order...I'm so glad I did. I can't recommend Wooden Workshop highly enough. From start to finish, they provided a first class service. Communication was excellent; I received pictures of the product in progress so I could feed back on how it was looking. Dean, the craftsman, was able to accommodate my request at that point to alter the table a little, and Laura kept me fully informed throughout, taking great efforts to ensure the delivery was convenient for the newlyweds. The service was typified by nice touches like offering to tie a bow around the gift (and asking me what colour I preferred!) I am thrilled with the table, it looks absolutely stunning. Superb quality of product, matched by levels of customer care I have never experienced before. The courier company failed to honour their agreed delivery date, despite Laura's diligent phone calls with them. I think this says it all really...that even when I had paid the invoice and the table had been delivered, Laura continued to battle on my behalf for compensation from the courier company for the delay. I am one happy customer...thankyou so much Laura and Dean.

Driveway Gates
Since a chance meeting with Dean shortly after moving to the area last year, we have used The Wooden Workshop for several aspects of our project to refurbish an old farmhouse and buildings. They initially constructed a kennel block to our own design and because we were delighted with the outcome, we commissioned a large pair of gates and some vertical boarded solid fencing. This led on to renovations on a summerhouse and even a custom bird table as a Christmas present. We have always found that both Dean and Laura are eager to please, keep us well informed and deliver an excellent value for money outcome, hence we have recently committed to some more work. As they were a relatively new business, we were slightly apprehensive when placing our first order but this concern proved unfounded and if Dean and Laura can maintain their current business ethos we are sure that they will be very successful so you can order with confidence.

Tree Guards
The Wooden Workshop produced bespoke wooden tree guards for the paddock at our veterinary practice. The quality of workmanship is excellent and we found the team refreshingly straight forward to deal with. We'd have no hesitation in recommending them and will use them for future works.

On contacting Dean and Laura we were immediately impressed with the professional and polite way in which we were treated.
