THE TEMPLETON TIMBER TRAIL – CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE - SUNDAY 24th MARCH 2013

Exe Valley Rotary Club are hosting a Fun Run for young people aged 11 to 16 on Sunday March 24th 2013

The event will be off road, principally using the attractive private woodland roads and tracks of the Cruwys Morchard Estate, a unique experience never before offered for this sort of activity. Some wet and muddy areas can be expected!

It is intended to provide two courses - one of 2.5 to 3 miles for children in years 7 and 8, starting at 11.00a.m. and one of 4.5 to 5 miles for those in years 9 and above, starting at 11.30 a.m.
Distances and start times may vary, depending on the prevailing ground conditions.

The event will be fully marshalled, with a Medical Officer plus St John Ambulance First Aid personnel in attendance.

Registration will commence at 10.00 a.m. Free Parking will be available at the village hall, although this again may be limited by ground conditions on the day.

The event will start and finish at Templeton village hall, where drinks and light snacks will be available. An entrance fee of £2.50 per entrant will be payable on registration to include a hot drink on arrival.

Although a Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to all those completing the event, this is purely a fun run with no prizes for coming first and no times recorded.
