Once I was in Wetherspoons and the wouldn't serve me a J20 and lemonade because I didn't have ID, and I was only down there to pick my mum and dad up in the car! I then got my dad to go and buy me the J20 and the manager came over and took it away from me!

That is laughable Lewis, I can't believe that they took a J20 off you, simply ridiculous.
The service in 'Spoons isn't that bad, I do sympathise with the staff as they're rushed off their feet 9 times out 10 and that's obviously to do with a policy the chain has as it's quite common in all Wetherspoons. Probably have to have a skeleton staff on for the majority of the time.
I know, it was laughable at the time. When he came over to take it away I told him to look the other way while I drank it. Meanwhile everyone on the table was saying I was over 18 but the manager there wasn't haven't any of it. Was a while ago in 2007, but you remember those kind of things.

This must be the Tiverton site then!
I would like to point out to Wazza_76 that the JD Wetherspoon Group owned pub in Tiverton is The White Ball Inn on Bridge Street. The White Horse Inn that you mention is on Gold Street and no connection. It really would be prudent to spell the name of the business correctly and then the actual outlet associated with that business before making a complaint about it on the Internet.

i was about to point out the difference between The White Ball and The White Horse. i do feel sorry for weatherspoons though its not their fault that its full of cocky teenagers trying to get served underage and that doesnt help the atmosphere one bit.

Why not support your local businesses instead of a nation wide chain that have little interest in the local people of Tiverton.
We would be glad to see you at The Cellar Restaurant, Fore Street, Tiverton, our menu is very similar to The White Ball with Mexican dishes also available and is cooked from fresh ingredients. We are open daily Monday to Saturday and Thursday to Saturday in the evening.
We also have themed evenings which are advertised on our board outside of the Restaurant.
Last night I was in the Spoons having a drink outside, and this woman came up and asked for the cigarette ends and then started taking them out of the ash trays.
A member of staff then shouted 'OI, you know you're barred - get out" and with that she scuttled off into the darkness of the night.
A strange experience.

It really surprises me that people keep going to places and then constantly moaning about them. There are other nicer places to go so just bite the bullet, spend a bit more money than you would at the spoons and enjoy yourself somewhere else, like the bank or the twyford or anywhere except the spoons!. JD wetherspoons is the same anywhere in the UK. Wake up and smell the coffee!

Maybe moaning to the people that run the place isn't a bad idea.
