FIRE crews have dealt with two road incidents in the last 24 hours. In the first a fire broke out in the engine compartment of a vehicle which was travelling on the M5 between Junction 28 at Cullompton and Junction 27. Crews from Cullompton and Exeter were sent to deal with the fire, which was reported at 3.45pm yesterday. Just before midnight another car burst into flames after a crash on the A361 near South Molton. Crews from South Molton and Barnstaple extinguished the small fire and made the scene safe. The matter was left in the hands of police. No one was hurt in either incident.
