Uffculme Country Fair & Rare Breeds Sheep Show - Monday 3rd May 2010

Greetings from the Exe Valley Rotary Club - Show Committee! Just dropping in to let you all know that this year's Uffculme Show will take place, as usual, on the May Day Bank Holiday Monday, which this year falls on May 2nd. A full programme of family entertainment is being arranged once again, including the Rare Breeds Sheep Show / Exhibit; also a large entry of beautiful Classic Cars plus other vintage machines and tractors. There will be the usual well-supported Dog Show as well as a wide range of Trade /' Craft Stalls, Fun Fair rides, on-field hot food stalls, ice cream, tea tent and much more. A full main ring programme with live music and local entertainers. There will also be a Welly Wanging Contest ( that's to see how far you can throw a welly boot !) plus a Skittles alley and a Golf Putting game! Car Parking is free and the field entry price is the same as last year = £5.00 for Adults and £2.00 for Child (under 16 years of age) Gates open to the Public at 10.00 a.m. and the Show is scheduled to finish at 5.00 p.m. Make a note in your diaries now to come along to this great Family Day out in the glorious Devon countryside. We thank you for your support last year, when, with your help, the Show raised over £5,000 for Rotary charities, enabling the Exe Valley Rotary Club to send several more much needed Shelter Boxes abroad to be used to help give shelter to people suffering extreme hardship in disaster areas, as well as enabling us to support other worthy causes. both abroad and closer to home in the UK.
