    Paignton Chess Congress takes place during the week beginning Sunday 7 September.  It is held in the magificent Oldway Mansion, Paignton, one time home of the Singer Sewing Machine family.
    If anyone wishes to take part, full details are avaialble from the Chess Devon website. (tinyurl.com/m8rxku)  It is also worth a visit to see the mansion and to witness chess players in full thought.
