OK Madiccy, here's one for ya... I pay over £100 a month Council Tax and more than £6,000 a year Tax & NI, I also pay 20% VAT on everything I purchase. Currently I receive in services from MDDC one fortnightly bin collection and one fortnightly recycling collection. Tell me why I should suddenly start to have to pay for taking materials to a recycling centre IN MY OWN VEHICLE AT MY OWN COST then pay EXTRA to have it recycled. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO PAY????? We pay ENOUGH Taxes to pay for all this a million times over, but because the ****ing Government want to give enormous Tax breaks to rich individuals and corporations and less and less services back to us, we're supposed to grin and bear it!? NO WAY!

As far as I am aware the Council originally Took Building Materials as a Token Gesture even though they were not required to ... then as all these things cost a fortune to Be Disposed of they decided to change tack... So I suppose they made a rod for their own backs in that respect.

I completely understand that we all pay lots of taxes.. but if they rise due to the costs of disposing of other people expensive building waste then that's not fair either.

Typically the Most Noticeable drop in these Items has come from Having Next to No Jobbing Builders on site anymore trying to get rid of their trade wastes.
Which theoretically should save the Council an Absolute Fortune... although I doubt it will make any difference to council tax bills :-(
