Just been told that Willand based West Country Private Ambulance Service are closing with the loss of 30 plus jobs - sad to hear it if it is true as they have done so much good work in the community.

when politician talk about the private sector, they talk about it like it is the solution to all our problems . like the private sector will some how be able to make a profit and not effect the service they taking over. with more and more people using the NHS than ever before you would have thought that a company like this would do well . not enough people getting into accidents. with all the pot holes in the roads you would have thought that they be more accidents . with that and the aging populous of old people needing to visit to the hospital. how does a does a company that offers a service that we all will use at least once in our lives. go out of business. that's like a company that sells water going out of business it's something we all use .
