If you are able to get to the Chess Club at Blundell's Prep School next Wednesday at 6.45 for 7.00 pm, you are in for a treat.  Mark Abbot, a good standard County First Team player will play everyone SIMULTANEOUSLY.

All of the boards are set up on tables in the form of a rectangle or circle and Mark will be enclosed within this shape.  He then walks tround the inside playing moves on each of the boards.  Each contestant has to find their move in the time it takes for Mark to circumvent the circle.

If you have never seen this kind of event before, you are cordially invited to attend as a spectator.  The club would be delighted if you would like to take part.

Just one word of warning.  He ususally beats most of us!

Mark scored respecatably. I think it was 5 for Mark, 6 for us with 1 draw. He said that we are all getting better!
