Vacancies in two of town’s five wards

AS well as electing new district councillors on May 5, many parishes in Mid Devon including wards in the towns of Tiverton and Cullompton went to the polls to elect their new representatives.

There are still vacancies on Tiverton Town Council following the election, as in two of the town’s five wards there were not enough candidates to hold an election.

In the Castle ward, there are two vacant seats, and one in the Westexe South area.

Anyone interested in being considered for co-option onto the council can write to the town clerk by letter to Tiverton Town Council, Tiverton Town Hall, St Andrew Street, Tiverton, EX16 6PG, or by e-mail to townclerk@tiverton-town-council. org to arrive no later than noon on Wednesday, May 18.
