The house and gardens itself give a glimpse of Tiverton history, from Lady Amory, to the ancient billards room. National Trust policy means you can't savour the area and take photographs inside which is a bit rubbish if you're a keen phototaker. I took some sneaky photos regardless. The gardens are well kept, and it makes you feel as though you could be walking through the set of a period drama. It's something everyone should go and see - and it's free if you go on a heritage open day.
