It is lovely to see that other people than just volunteers like myself are praising the changes the Museum has made. Pippa our new curator definitely seems to have given the museum a spark of life. We have so many different things to do for children of all ages around the museum. One new thing you can do now is have a Rucksack from the desk with a Cat Hand Puppet a Magnifying Glass a Torch and A Giant Cube, while going round you can hunt for pictures of mice with your cat and you have the magnifying glass and torch to find other items and you can play a game with the giant cube. Do come and enjoy. Don't forget CHILDREN ARE FREE WHEN ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. otherwise only £1

ReportOur Tiverton Museum has had a makeover this year and is showing the influence of the new curator.
Children are admiitted free with adults and there are activities on both floors targeted at young children. My granddaughter's favourite is still the Tivvy Bumper steam engine in the Transport Gallery the other side of the yard.

I have been here quite a few times now, as part of school trips and for a family day out, and the museum has something new to offer each time. This is suitable for all ages and you will be certain to learn something new. There are objects to see, and even interact with for example the air raid shelter which is a big hit with children. The Tiverton steam train is also here to view and board!!! It is well worth a trip to the museum to view local history and life in the olden days. The museum also holds activities sometimes for example in easter they tend to have competitions as you go around the museum to count the chicks you see etc. Well worth it if you have young children or are interested in local history!
