Van hits two highway maintenance workers on A361

TWO men have been airlifted to hospital after a serious accident on the outskirts of Tiverton.

It is thought the crash, at around 11am today at Gornhay Cross, on the A361 near Bolham, involved a van and two men who were working in the road.

Two air ambulances attended and the men were taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Police have closed the road at Bolham and diversions are in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being.
