Tiverton Christmas lights switch on will be even bigger this year

Preparations for the switch on of Tiverton's Christmas lights are well under way and organisers hope to build on last year's success.

The date for the switch on - which promises a new and exciting set of lights for the town centre - will take place on Saturday 24 November from the early afternoon onwards.
Several great performers have already been booked for the day and the Christmas Lights Committee hope to involve as many schools and local performing groups as possible.
Chairman of the Christmas Lights Committee Sue Griggs said: "We are hoping for a bigger and better event than last years.
"It will start off a month of events in and around the town to give everyone a festive feeling in the run up to December 25th."
