The Maltese Heritage Group

The group was founded just over a year ago to cater for the very scattered Maltese community living in the south west of the UK. Unlike many other ethnic groups who live in the UK, the Maltese blend into the British community rather than live in groups. The problem with this is that they can go for some while until they meet another of the same nationality as themselves, mostly bumping into each other by pure chance.  The group deals with this problem by holding regular events throughout the region so that the Maltese can all meet in one place, enjoy food drink and music from their country and most importantly get to speak their own language.The group does not turn anyone away and in recent months they have been contacted by ex service personnel who served in Malta, children of those personnel who were young and lived there with parents, also from those people for which Malta is somewhere they go every year on holiday and for whom holds a special place in their hearts.
