Despite Argan Oil having been given a considerable amount of publicity over recent years, I know many of you may not be aware of the benefits this fabulous natural product can offer! There is also some confusion over the difference between Argan Oil and Moroccan Oil...
MOROCCAN OIL is a form of modified Argan Oil although Argan Oil is its main component. Moroccan oil has added additives including silicones and aloe vera. Personally I find it a 'heavier' product, the oil is thicker and can easily 'overpower' fine thinner hair making it lacklustre, however if your hair is thick, coarse and/or extremelly dry, you may find this product preferable to Argan Oil.
PURE ARGAN OIL is the purest form of oil extracted from the kernels of Argan trees which reside in the southwest regions of Morocco. It is 100% organic.
Argan Oil can be used in a variety of ways however if your hair tends to be oily, avoid applying to the root area, also ensure that during application, you run your hands down the hair shaft, this will assist in keeping the cuticles smooth which in turn helps to create shine.
FOR 'LEAVE IN' CONDITIONING
Day or night: Massage a small amount of oil into the palms of the hands and run through the hair to hydrate and moisturise.
1. Massage a very small amount of oil into the palms of the hands. 2. Gently run along damp mid lengths and ends of the hair. 3. Style as usual...
Alternatively you may wish to use this product on the drier more frizz prone areas of the hair once styled, this method will allow you to target specific problem areas.
Gently massage oil from mid lengths through to the ends of dry hair, tie (using a covered band) or wrap your hair in a small towel and leave in overnight. In the morning, shampoo and style as usual.
To gain the full benefits of this oil, I would strongly advise you buy this product in its purest form: 100% Argan Oil. It's a great investment and will last a considerable amount of time as only a few drops are needed for each application. It can be purchased from larger chemists and of course online, I highly recommend buying through mindbodygreen.com who support the local Moroccan Berber women in their work via a 'Fair Trade' cooperative.
Finally, why not de-clutter your bathroom cabinet?! Containing no harmful additives, toxins or parabens, this amazing oil can be used as a 'Head to Toe' beauty product!
If you'd like to discuss your hair care, colour or any styling issues with me, I'd love to hear from you!
