VOLUME.... OR LACK OF....
48% .of women would like more volume in their hair so you're not alone..
Sadly, we've not all been blessed with gorgeous, volumous hair, and knowing how to create volume is something many of us struggle with.
Here are some simple steps to give you the lift you need!
WASH AND CONDITION
There are lots of products on the market that will help provide lift and volume to your hair, find one that suits you and your hair type and you're already on the road to success!
Try to avoid washing your hair daily, dry shampoo can be a great alternative!
Also, especially important with fine hair: Apply conditioner to just the lengths and ends.
Don't 'overload' your hair especially when using waxes and serums. Also ensure you apply evenly from roots through to lengths and ends.
Try moving your parting to the opposite side, alternatively run it in a 'zig zag'.
Kit yourself out with the best hairdryer (ceramic, ionic drying rather than metal or plastic heating), and brushes you can afford.
Dry your hair in small sections starting at the nape first. Direct your hairdryer in the opposite direction to the root growth, i.e. if the roots are growing forwards, dry backwards, if the roots are growing downwards, dry upwards. If this sounds too complicated, simply tip your head upside-down!
As long as you use the correct tools i.e. a paddle or bristle brush, this could work well for you. Work in sections targeting the root area.
A great colour or colour combination can work wonders for making fine limp hair look amazing!
Be it highlights, lowlights or a full head colour, it's certainly well worth considering!
