A PENSIONER who was living rough in a car in Tiverton has been the victim of two unprovoked attacks.

Harold Gledhill, 65, was assaulted on the same day yobs launched a rock through the back window of the car he was living in.

Mr Gledhill, who spent around 30 years living as a marine carpenter in Spain, was left shocked after the confrontation left him with a cut nose.

The victim, who has since found somewhere to live, said he had no idea who attacked him.

A police spokesperson said Mr Gledhill's car was not roadworthy and must not be driven. He said he doesn't want to press charges against his attacker.
