NEWTON ABBOT Men's second team played host to Kingsbridge and produced a comprehensive 4-1 (19-3) win.
Steve Davey, James Cooper Dan Gough and Rob Muddiman all won in straight sets with just second string Curtis Corby providing the visitors with a win, Mark McClaren taking advantage of Curtis' drops in concentration to win along match in five.
Following their award of 20 points the previous week, the thirds faced a tough trip to tackle second placed Sidmouth.
Nick Whalley won at five, recovering from a 2-1 deficit, but this was the visitors' only success as the East Devon side then took the next four rubbers.
Valuable points were taken though, as Matt Whalley took two in his defeat, and Steve Lewis and Ian Davies one apiece. The only player to leave Sidmouth pointless was second string, Rob Salmon.
In the same division, Newton Abbot Fourths were able to benefit from Sidmouth's failure to take maximum points by moving to top place as they defeated Tiverton 2nds 20-3. Steve Morrall and Jason Williams both won without reply while Steve Davey, Kevin Smart and Clive Elmore each recorded 3-1 wins.
The fifth team are still suffering the loss of their top two players and suffered the consequences in another 5-0 defeat, this time at home to Exeter Golf and Country Club 5. There were some good individual performances though, as Kevin Lamacraft and Cameron Scott both lost 3-2 and James Johnson 3-1.
The Ladies 1st team maintained fourth place in their league with a comprehensive 20- 3 win over Exeter University.
Dawn Widdicombe and Emma Thomas both won without reply, while Julie Stevens, Anne Scott and Claire Simmonds all won 3-1.
The Ladies second team result was almost the reverse as they played host to one of the league's strongest teams, Exeter Golf and Country Club 1, losing 20-1.
The solitary point was taken by Rose Wood, while Katie Scott, Sharon Brown, Jane Parmenter and Denise Corby all battled without success.
