Mid Devon to fly the flag to mark Armed Forces Day

MID DEVON will come together next week to mark Armed Forces Day.

The day brings the nation together to show support for our military community both serving and retired, at home and abroad.
Mid Devon District Council will be raising a flag above Phoenix House On Monday 20 June and the Royal British Legion are holding a parade through the Tiverton on Armed Forces Day itself on Saturday 25 June.
The flag will be raised by the Chairman of Mid Devon District Council, Cllr Brenda Hill at 10.30am. She will be joined by other members of the District Council as well as Crediton, Cullompton and Tiverton Town Councils.
Service men and women, veterans, cadet forces and their families and members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony, as well as the parade which starts on June 25 from Phoenix Lane at noon.

I regret I am unable to attend on 25th June - Elizabeth and I are away from Tiverton. I will ask our son to take our granddaughter along.
