TELEGRAPH FAMILY FRIENDLY AWARD 2012 LAUNCHED

Kids in Museums has joined forces with the Telegraph newspaper to launch the Family Friendly Museum Award, the biggest museum award in Britain and the only one judged by families.

What's your favourite family friendly museum?

Have your family visited Tiverton Museum recently - has your toddler enjoyed our play areas? Perhaps you were offered one of our family backpacks with the cat and mouse trail to follow around the museum? Did one of our front desk volunteers play our barrel organ for your ten year old? Perhaps it was one of your teenagers who spend a night in the museum last January, or was involved in our Petroc goes pop exhibition earlier this year?

Your favourite museum may be a one room gallery with a few rare objects or a mighty museum stuffed with national treasures. It just has to be especially welcoming to families. Tell Kids in Museums why you want it to win the Family Friendly Museum Award.

How to make a nomination for the Family Friendly Museum Award:

Anyone can make a nomination - readers, visitors, volunteers and staff in the museums, as well as museums themselves. They just have to say why it's the most family friendly and deserves to win:
