Be inspired with great food and gift ideas with festive entertainment and atmosphere 

The Pannier Market is offering some of the best from local producers this Christmas in a festive atmosphere with entertainment.

There will be local festive food, finest fruit and vegetables including locally grown organics, rare-breed meat, sausages, pork and cheeses. Some of the producers have won many awards recently including gold medals at prestigious national events.

Shoppers are invited to enjoy the atmosphere in the Market with carol singing, music, hot chestnuts and traders in costume on the following special occasions:•8 December - Carols at the Market by Tidcombe Primary School at 2.15pm 

15 December - Carols at the Market by Halberton Primary School at 11.00am 

15 and 22 December - Children can meet Santa in his grotto between 11am - 2pm. Cost is £2 and each child receives a wrapped gift 

21 December - Late-night shopping until 7pm.

Many of the shops in Tiverton will be open until 7pm on Fridays running up to Christmas.

Thursday 20 December: Local foods with Christmas theme

Friday 21 December: Christmas Market and late-night shopping

Saturday 22 December: Christmas Market

Sunday 23 December: Christmas Market

Monday, Christmas Eve: Last-minute Christmas shopping!

Those under 16 years of age are invited to enter the Christmas decoration competition with the opportunity to win prizes. There are two categories, under 8 years of age and 9-16 years. Create your snowflake or Christmas tree decoration and take it along to the Market to register your entry. The closing date is 15 December and all entries will be displayed in the Market. Judging will take place on 17 December.
