Wireless Networks Security

Wireless Network security is a very important consideration and one often overlooked by people. While researching a blog post on WiFi security recently I used freely available software that identifies Wireless networks and how strongly they are protected with encryption. A five minute walk along a main road revealed just over seventy wireless networks, of which close to half were open and unprotected - and that doesn't include wireless networks that are intentionally open, like BT-FON points or coffee shops, etc.
I've written a blog post on securing your wireless network - http://nickrapson.co.uk/secure-a-wireless-network/
If you have any concerns about the effectiveness of your wireless network security please feel free to contact me.
