Pupils at Blundell's School in Tiverton have raised £350 for the homeless charity Crisis at Christmas by selling candy canes to pupils who bought them for their friends in the school.

Gorton House girls ready to hand out the candy canes with their handwritten messages
The Year 12 girls of Gorton House day and boarding house sold 750 candy canes and everyone who bought one wrote a message on a label which the girls then tied onto the canes and delivered to the lucky (and surprised) recipients. This was the latest charity fundraising initiative at the school; every year pupils and staff at Blundell's raise thousands of pounds for local, national and international charities.
