A Blundell's pupil has overcome a serious injury to be selected to play for England.

Victoria (Torzie) Boylett has been chosen for the England Under 16 hockey squad. The fifteen year-old spent several weeks at the end of last year in a wheelchair following an accident at a tournament where her knee cap was smashed by a hockey stick. The injury meant she wasn't able to start playing again until January.

Another pupil at the Tiverton school, Jack Maunder, also 15, has been selected for the England Under 16 elite rugby training squad. Jack played for the England Under 16s just before flying off to Antigua where, because he is also an exceptional cricket player, he was invited to train with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Academy over the half term, as was Sam Wyatt-Haines in Year 12.
